Torrevieja: Info and new build properties for sale

Torrevieja has about 85,000 inhabitants and is a tourist town on the Costa Blanca South whose life revolves around the sea and the production of salt.
The two huge salt mines,La Mata y Torrevieja, are surrounded by modern residential areas. The 2 salt mines are interconnected and have been declared a natural reserve; they reach the sea through La Mata.
Today, Torrevieja salt is exported all over the world and annual production exceeds one million tons.
With the fishing and commercial port In Torrevieja, the seafaring tradition is kept alive by the important activity of the many piers at the Royal Sailing Club and the international marina.
Towards the end of the promenade we find the wharves from which ships, loaded with salt, would leave for Cuba.
